Stem Cell Therapy Cost in Japan — Cell Grand Clinic, Osaka
Cell Grand Clinic provides autologous adipose-derived stem cell (ADSC) therapy under Japan’s Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, with 15 treatment plans notified to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (12 Type II and 3 Type III). Only your own cells are used; they are cultured individually for you at a licensed cell processing center.

The number of cells and sessions depends on your condition and is decided by the physician. Individual quotations are provided on inquiry. USD figures are approximate and depend on the exchange rate; payment is in Japanese yen.
What the treatment fee includes
- Physician consultation and eligibility screening on your first visit (blood tests, including infectious-disease screening)
- Fat tissue collection under local anesthesia
- Cell isolation and expansion at our licensed cell processing center — culture stopped at passage 3; flow-cytometry check of mesenchymal markers (CD73 / CD90 / CD105); about 98% cell viability at release; your cells are never pooled with another patient’s
- Symptomatic care during the culture period (exosome or PRP administration on the first visit, according to your plan)
- Administration of your cultured cells on the second visit (intravenous infusion or local injection)
- Follow-up at 1, 3 and 6 months, directly with Dr. Wakabayashi (email / video)
Not included: flights, accommodation, travel insurance, visa fees, and any additional tests or treatments that are not listed in your quotation.

Two visits to Osaka
VISIT 1 · ABOUT HALF A DAY
Consultation, blood screening and fat tissue collection under local anesthesia (the procedure takes about half a day). We recommend planning about 3 days in Osaka for this visit.
ABOUT 7 WEEKS
Your cells are cultured and quality-checked at the cell processing center. You are at home during this period.
VISIT 2 · 60–90 MINUTES
Administration of your cultured cells (60–90 minutes), followed by observation. We recommend planning about 3 days in Osaka for this visit.
The clinic is 5 minutes from Shinsaibashi Station and about 50 minutes from Kansai International Airport (KIX).
Important information
- This is a self-funded treatment (not covered by insurance) provided under Japan’s Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine as a notified regenerative medicine plan. It is not an approved standard therapy for the conditions treated; outcomes vary between patients and no result can be guaranteed.
- Reported risks include pain, bruising or infection at the fat-collection site, transient fever or fatigue after infusion, allergic reaction and, rarely, thromboembolic events with intravenous administration. The physician explains the risks that apply to you before you consent.
- Treatment may not be available for patients with active cancer, HIV, active severe infection, or other conditions judged unsuitable at screening.
